U.S. Soccer is pleased to announce that, due to the generous support of donors in the NYC area, you may be eligible to receive scholarship funding to support you in your next USSF coaching course.
The New York City Development Council, a group of local business leaders and U.S. Soccer supporters, are working to fund approximately 300 need-based coaching education scholarships in the NYC region.
Coaching candidates can receive the following financial aid for in-person courses delivered in the NYC area:
- B-License Scholarship: $3,000 (full scholarship)
- C-License Scholarship: $1,000
- D-License Scholarship: $250
The U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Scholarship Program application period will open Thursday, February 21 and close Friday, March 22. To access and apply, candidates should login and follow directions at the Digital Coaching Center (DCC), dcc.ussoccer.com.
The U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Department will review all applications, and the NYC Development Council will support the final selection of scholarship recipients based on the criteria below:
- Financial need
- Personal statement (250 words)
- Letter of recommendation (from Club leadership or colleague, on Club letterhead)
B-License candidates must also apply and be selected as part of the regular course application process.
Scholarship recipients will be notified in late April. C and D License candidates will receive a discount code (valid for 12 months) to use when registering for their course on the DCC.
This scholarship program is a pilot coaching education program currently specific to the NYC region.
